The outbreak of Covid-19 has changed the way we live our lives. When the lockdown was first enforced there was a lot of panic buying resulting in shortages. There are still queues in shops, but these are mostly related to adhering with social distancing requirements rather than shortages. With basic needs for food and shelter met other needs present themselves. It has been difficult to adjust to the new normal. The experience can be quite frankly overwhelming. There are ways to cope with and deal with these hard times.

Learn To Be Still

There is something about being still, being alone and being quiet which is magical. This is the time when people realise that the answers they have been seeking from the world are within them. Tap into that power.

Exercise

Exercise your body by engaging in physical activities. Also exercise your mind by reading widely. The more you do this, the better you will feel.

Learn A New Skill

In recent weeks you may have found yourself with more time than you know what to do. Or your hands maybe full! Either way, it’s good for the brain to learn a new skill. It can be something simple like baking or more complex like undertaking a major D.I.Y. project.
